This video shows that carbs are a simple metering device and nothing more. THey are really very simple and efficient. Easy as HELL to work on. Once we understand the basic principle, the fear about carbs goes right out the window. I will show you how. RH

jetting a 2 stroke is a peice of cake , start with the main jet , go big till it sputters at wide open throttle then work ur way back down till it has good power , do a plug chop make sure ur not to lean ( u want a dark brown colored plug) , then work on jetting ur mid range , set the needle on the richest setting wich is the bottom clip then work ur way up till it runs good , and vola u jetted ur 2 stroke !! =]

hey can you give me a clue how to clean or fix my ice auger carb? i think its giving me to much gas wenever i trotle it it dies so i have to go an a full choke all the time just to work on it

There not made by nasa, but they are designed byl engineers to account for mechanical requirements that you would probably drop dead just thinking about if you had any idea.

carbs use the Bernoulli law, in case you wanted to know. the air flow over the gas causes a low pressure area and the gas is a high pressure area which makes the gas go up. sounds weird i know

TRY dropping the clip one step, then raising the clip one step from now and see if there is a difference. experiment. RH DSD

If I am getting a good amount of black smoke out of my silencer should I raise or lower my needle jet? In other words drop the clip or raise it?
