alli Parody ”Poopy-In-Your-Pants” Commercial Rocks the Internet: Generix Laboratories’ Leptopril Diet Pill Ad Keeps Most Americans Laughing … While Others Cringe
SALT LAKE CITY (PRWEB) June 14, 2007
”The pros versus cons about the ad are running better than 10 to 1 in support of our commercial,” said Gina Gay, spokesperson for Generix Laboratories. “I think most people got the humor. In fact, some commented that the ad looked like a Saturday Night Live skit. That’s pretty high praise. Sure, we probably did offend a few people, but that’s what cutting edge advertising is all about. We certainly weren’t trying to be mainstream because that’s just not our style.”
In less than 12 hours, the video was viewed by thousands of Internet users who could see the ad for themselves without network censorship on YouTube, Google(TM) Video and Yahoo!(R) Video. Many posted responses that run the gamut from hilarious to horrible.
Other comments included:
“So far, we haven’t heard from GlaxoSmithKlein,” said Ms. Gay. “But I’ll bet they’re probably laughing, excessively.”
The alli … “Poopy-In-Your-Pants” phenomenon continues to spread.
